“ Their oysters are tasty but most of them are very small. It is the price for people who want to enjoy BBQ oysters and the scenery though. This oyster house is on the water and you can see many fish. The service here is just okay. I would give it 3 stars. The lady gave us an annoyed face and was not very friendly when we asked when is the best timing to eat… I was considering revisiting when my family visits Kyushu next month but we will try another place for now. ”
“ Marumo Suisan offers an unforgettable dining experience with oysters that cannot get any fresher. The boat is docked just off the restaurant, ensuring the oysters are harvested and served in the most authentic way possible. Parking is easy, with lots just before the restaurant—look for the signs, and it’s only a short 3-minute walk to the restaurant. Upon arrival, confidently walk down the ramp, and you’ll be greeted by the enticing sight of the charcoal grill. The staff may be busy cleaning oysters and unloading, but just be patient and take in the beautiful surroundings. Someone will come to take care of you, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience. The freshness of the oysters and the overall atmosphere make this a must-visit for seafood lovers. ”
“ Very nice place. Oyster and ebi is very delicious. Staff are friendly and helpful. Strongly Recommended Ps. No need reservations. ”
“ Fresh seafood. Service could be improved. And they don’t provide toilet that explains the no urination sign on the road ”
“ Really good vibes! Fresh oysters grilled over coal with a nice view. We went at 4pm, just before they close at 5pm, it was peaceful and quiet to enjoy an afternoon grilling the oysters and clams. ”
“ 2900 yen for 2kg of oyster, 4 snail like seafood and 3 shui Mai. Oyster size varies and about half of them didn't pop up by themselves. Not sure if it's the season or not (early December). ”
“ Such fresh oysters, self-barbecued over wood charcoal! The elder lady who worked there was nice and helpful in understanding how to shuck the oysters and orient them on the grill. But, it seems from my wife that maybe Japanese customers get a different impression. Right on the water and a little grimy, but that’s part of the seaside working environment and the atmosphere. ”
“ Went during January 2020. Oyster was smaller than expected, price was alright. Maybe this season the oysters were not big. There are different sets and menu to choose from. Pros: Reasonable price Different styles of food to choose from, ranging from shrimp, shells to clam chowder and fried rice balls. Good view of the sea. Cons: Quite far away. Hard to access if you don't have a car. Some oysters were not as fresh and some are dead. The shells did not open even when they are fully cooked. The rafts and the area in general is not very clean ”
